Bluetooth is a wireless communication technology for short range data and voice exchange between two or more devices. As the devices have to be at a close distance from each other, it's mainly used to connect two devices only.
There is a way to allow several devices to communicate via bluetooth even if some of them are not close enough from each other to connect directly: Making each device act as a relay. This would create a network of bluetooth devices if the probability for each device in a given group to be at a distance from another device in the group that allows a direct bluetooth connexion is equal to 1.
Creating this network is possible when a group of persons gathers for the same reason, for example, to attend a conference. Participants will be able to use their smartphone to exchange small amounts of data with a single computer that will process the input and display the result.

The software consists of:
- A computer software: Sends input requests to smartphones, then gathers and processes the received data.
- A smartphone application: Receives input requests and returns the user input to the computer.
The software must be open source: This will minimize compatibility issues, maximize application possibilities, and of course, make it free!
- Session ID
A Session ID and a title are sent by the computer to the smartphones, and users are prompted for their participation or not to the session. Every participating device will send their Device ID to the computer which will have the complete list of participants.
- Request ID
On each request, the computer sends a Request ID with the request data, and the smartphone returns the request ID with the user input.
Conferences could be more interactive: The speaker will be given the opportunity to ask questions, do a poll, request a feedback or any other form of contribution from the attendents.
Participants can input their ideas on their smartphone and vote for the best ones.
